At the Suffolk SUP School we believe in delivering the very highest standard of SUP tuition. Unlike quick taster sessions our small, personal lessons ensure that your introduction to SUP is thorough, challenging, rewarding, safe and a lot of fun!

Within a few hours you can expect to make excellent progress and learn about all aspects of safe SUP techniques and the background to this exciting sport.

Suffolk SUP Instructors Jon and Belinda Smith are fully qualified ASI Level 1 Enclosed Water and Level 2 Exposed Water SUP Instructors and hold the ASI Water Safety Rescue Award and relevant RYA First Aid qualifications.

Your introduction to SUP will usually take place on the safe waters of Alton Water near Ipswich. We also conduct lessons at a number of other suitable sites around Ipswich according to weather and tidal conditions. This is done to ensure that you receive the best tuition and experience possible.

As you progress you will become confident to join in our further lessons or coaching sessions and join the SuffolkSUP Club for regular paddles around the Suffolk / Essex waterways.

Please see the Suffolk SUP Club section for more details.
